A Perfect BloodA Perfect Blood by Kim Harrison
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Another incredibly satisfying Rachel Morgan story. I still don't understand why Rachel is treated like a drooling 3 year old leper, but I do like the way she handles it these days. I'm still looking forward to her realizing she smarter and stronger than the lot of them, but its been fun to see her progress this way.

I thought that the mysterious Vampire Felix was just a ton of fun and hope to see more of him. Her werewolf body guard Wade on the other hand was an annoying broken record with dangerous tendencies and I cant figure out for the life of me why she hasn't fired him yet. I would have tossed him out on his ear a week in. I missed Al, his character might be the most interesting to me. I look forward to seeing more of him in the next installment. Lastly, I like the fact that Trent becomes more accessible to Rachel with each book - will they finally get together with the next one? I'm hoping!

All in all nother great book in the Rachel Morgan series!

Unholy Ghosts (Downside Ghosts, #1)Unholy Ghosts by Stacia Kane
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

I didn't love this - a lot of slang from nearly everyone but the main character, which I thought was strange. I think the story was good and I could see the point behind the slang, but I didn't think it was necessary and for my part, it took away from the entire read. I probably wont continue on this series.

Black Magic Sanction (The Hollows, #8)Black Magic Sanction by Kim Harrison
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

My favorite book from this Series to date. Finally, we see Rachel becoming less of a whining punching bag. Throughout this Series we see her life deftly change and become altered by her simply allowing people to believe untruths about her and the things that she has, or in many cases, has not done. We see her accept & pay the outlandish prices for everyone's crap - all the while whining that she's a good person. It makes no sense.

Finally, it appears this self-deprecating and destructive path that she's on might be reaching an end, or at least it wont be as cringe worthy. I, for one sincerely hope she becomes the strong and confident heroine we all know she can be.

I cant wait to read the next book!

I have to give this book 5 stars despite the fact that i wasn't terribly happy with the end...but isn't that he way it is when you've become so invested in a story? The end is never quite good enough, and this story was no different. I found myself on this crescendo for the 1st half of this book, on the edge of my seat I needed to know what happened next....constantly! I mean, what a page turner! Then it just tapered off, the diminuendo was so slight my excitement taken away so slightly and slowly that I hardly noticed. I think it was at the football game....

Anyway, I absolutely loved it all.

PS - this was the 1st Stephen King book Ive read.

Reviews > Fifty Shades of Grey

Fifty Shades of Grey (Fifty Shades, #1)Fifty Shades of Grey by E.L. James

I've happened across better POV smutty fan fiction written in English by Swedish speaking 16 year olds on Live Journal and Deviant Art.

I cant believe I actually read the 3rd of the book that I did.
Mind blowingly awful. I absolutely cannot believe this is a best selling book.
I honestly can not comprehend the reason why.
I don't read the classics. I don't have some sort of high & fluetent snobby taste in books.
I'll tell you this though - I couldn't finish this book if it was the last book I hadn't read on earth.

Discarded with no stars.
